How long before I can paint new plaster?

Fresh plaster usually needs 4–7 days to fully dry before painting, with a watered-down mist coat first. Your plasterer will advise for your room.

Can you skim over artex or old walls?

Yes — plasterers can skim over sound artex or bond and skim uneven walls for a smooth, paint-ready finish. Note the wall condition when posting your job.

Will there be a lot of mess?

Plastering is a wet trade but our plasterers sheet up and clean down. Skimming is far less disruptive than a full re-plaster.
