Is solar worth it in Scotland?

Do I need MCS certification?

For grants and to sell power back (SEG), your installer should be MCS certified. We prioritise accredited installers — ask when you get your quotes.

How much can I save with solar?

Savings depend on your usage and system size, but many homes cut their electricity bills significantly and earn a little back exporting surplus power (SEG).

Do solar panels work on north-facing roofs?

South and east/west roofs are best, but modern panels still generate on less ideal roofs. Your installer will assess your roof during the survey.
